  • 12 oz skinless salmon fillet or 2 x 6 oz portions (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 T olive oil

  • 2 t minced ginger
  • 5 t minced garlic
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1/3 c soy sauce
  • 1/3 c honey
  • 1/2 t red pepper flakes (optional)

Step 1: Mix the ingredients for the glaze together in a bowl and stir to mix well.

Step 2: Place the salmon in a ziplock bag, then pour half of the glaze into the bag with the salmon.

Step 3: Swish the marinade in the bag so that it engulfs the fish.

Step 4: Seal the bag and leave the salmon to marinate in the bag for at least half an hour.

Step 5: Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 6: Place the marinated salmon in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Step 7: Remove the salmon from the pan and place it on a plate.

Step 8: Pour the remaining glaze into the same pan where you fried the salmon. Heat up the glaze until it bubbles and boils. Stir it gently as it thickens.

Step 9: Once the glaze has bubbled, boiled and thickened slightly, drizzle it over the salmon.
