BBQ Wild Shrimp Kebabs

As summer ushers in longer days and warmer afternoons, we can't help but think about a delicious kebab while relaxing in the backyard with our family. Cooking up your own tray of delicious BBQ shrimp kebabs is pretty easy and all you need is the following recipe and some time!

  • Raw Wild Baja Shrimp – 1 Pound (Deveined, Peeled, Shell Removed)
  • Garlic – 2 Cloves, Crushed
  • Salt & Pepper – To Taste
  • 3 Tbsp – Favorite BBQ Sauce
  • Wooden Skewers


Step One – Now that we have all of our ingredients together, let’s begin the cooking process by soaking our skewers in water for 20 minutes. This helps to prevent wooden skewers from burning. Alternatively, you can use metal skewers and skip this step entirely.

Step Two – Crush your garlic and combine it with your shrimp. Add your salt and pepper seasoning, to taste, before allowing the mixture to marinate for at least 15 minutes. Some chefs opt to let their seasoning marinate overnight.

Step Three – Prepare your grill by cleaning and lightly oiling it. Set your temperature to medium heat and when the grill reaches that level, skewer your shrimp and add them to the heat. Allow the shrimp to cook for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, watching for an opaque appearance.

Step Four – Add your favorite sauce with a brush during the final minute or so of the cooking process. At this point, make sure you have some napkins nearby because you are ready to chow down!
