NORTHERN CHEF® FARM RAISED SHRIMP
Our farmed shrimp are raised on large, sustainable ecologically sensitive ponds in crystal clear waters. Through our committed work with forward-thinking environmental groups, we are working to create responsible shrimp farming in ways that protect the mangrove fields, coast and seas. Our shrimp are fed natural foods with no artificial feed supplementation (no chemicals to harm the environment. The shrimp are quick-frozen immediately after processing to keep them firm and preserve their original fresh taste. Each shrimp is carefully selected under strict specifications to guarantee the moist texture and succulent flavor that you have come to expect from all Northern Chef® brand shrimp and seafood products.
NORTHERN CHEF® MSC SEAFOOD
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international, non-profit organization. The MSC seeks to reverse the decline of fish stocks, safeguard livelihoods and deliver improvements in marine conservation worldwide. The MSC works with fisheries, seafood processors, the food service sector and retailers to change the way the seas are fished, and raise awareness through consumer outreach and media relations.
We are proud to offer Oregon wild caught shrimp from the first msc certified shrimp fishery. We also carry msc certified Alaskan Cod, Chilean Sea Bass and Sockeye Salmon.
